Hii,

Can anyone please help me to know if we need to archive PM_OBJLIST & PM_EQUI, do we need to archive all the preceeding objects of these two archiving objects.

My problem is when i am trying to archive the data for these two objects, after the execution of write function the background spool is showing the below details. There is no data which is writen. Please suggest what needs to be done.

Archiving Session Number 000015

Number of Written Data Objects 0

Size of Archiving Session in MB 0.000

Proportion of Header Data in % 0.0

Mohar

The archiving object PM_OBJLIST is used to archive serial number history documents. You cannot specify a particular serial or equipment for this archiving job. You can enter specific documents or range of documents (such as goods movements). There is a retention period specified in customizing for each of these documents type.

IMG - Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Master Data in Plant Maintenance - Technical Objects - Serial Number Management - Archive Serial Number History

These historical documents must be archived before the serial/equipment itself.

you need to archive the preceeding objects in any case your records have entries in this objects too.

If you do not do quality inspections, then you dont need to archive QM_CONTROL

But if your serial number was used in a delivery, then you certainly need to archive RV_LIKP first.

You should execute your test runs with detailed list option, then SAP tells you why a certain record could not be archived.

when you define your selection variants in SARA for PM_EQUI, then in the lower part of the screen you have can see a box to select that you want a detailed log.

You will then see detailed messages in the spoolfile that gets created when you execute
