Error in Std Cost estimate - Activity price

Former Member

Hello

I am having a very peculiar situation. We had made all settings for activity price calculation and already run the cost estimates, etc. Since last day, it is noticed that the activity prices are not getting calculated in the costing run. All settings are in place, still we are wondering why this is happening ? System giving messages like structure not defined or formula is not in the work centre, etc. But these are there we checked.

Hi Niki

I would suggest to check your work centre formula once again...

Such type of messages are never thrown un-justifiied by the system

Hi Ajay

Correct formula is given.

I am pasting the error message here:

Missing formula in work center PPKGALFL

Message no. CK430

Diagnosis

In routing or network 50000147, you have entered the standard value 003 for operation 3010. Operation 3010 is performed at work center PPKGALFL.

Based on the formula in the work center and the standard value in the operation, the system computes how much activity is expected for the activity type. This activity is valuated on the basis of the activity prices in cost center accounting to calculate the planned costs for the operation.

In the case at hand you have not entered a formula in work center PPKGALFL or you have deleted the formula in work center PPKGALFL.

Hi

Shall I suggest some thing?

Delete your routing operation and maintain it again... Usually, the formula in work center is controlled by the Formula Parameters specified in the formula.. You can also test the work center formula in the work center by clicking on the "Calculator" like icon

When we click the 'calculator' icon, values are coming as zero.

check whether you are using Correct formula for costing.

IN OP54, for that formula , allowed for calculation tick is there?

IF yes

GO to routing , double click the operation got o standard value key is the formula is Same

Hi Niki

Thats what I was saying.. There is some thing wrong in your formula

If say, your act type is meant for POWER.. In PP, you would create one formula value key ZSAP_01 for POWER...

Now your formula should read as ZSAP_01 * Op Qty / Base Qty... (The Op & Base Qty also have a parameter key in the std system.. Take the help of your PP consultant

Hi Ajay..

It is not happening with PP alone. Activity prices in Plant Maintenance/Project systems are also not coming.

Hi Niki,

Then the problem is in Formula for costing In workcenter

1) Check the formula for calculation is correct?

2) check in OP54 allowed for calculation tick is there for the formula in Costing

3) maintain a Price for activity in Kp26

3) and then check formula test in Work center using Calculation

HI

Change the formula parameters to what I have mentioned

Take help of your PP guy.. They are usually well versed with the work ctr formulae

When we click the 'calculator' icon, values are coming as zero.

then the problem is in Work center only

check the following things in Work center

1) Check the standard value key in work center & the formula assigned to it for that activity and compare with the work center formula in OP54

ex:

check the Op19 for that std value key

suppose for machine the value is assigned as SAP_02

if the machine hrs is assigned in activity and formula is SAP006

then go to OP54 and check the formula for SAP 006 SAP_02 * SAP_09 / SAP_08 and check allowed for calculation is ticked

and then go to op51 note down the SAP_02- machine time, SAP_09- Operation quantity/ SAP_08- Base quantity

costing only works , both the std value key and formula have same parameter SAP_02

Otherwise it won't work

did you checked the test formula in work center costing view, is the value is coming correctly?

Yes. Now when I ran the standard costing run, other type of errors are noted:

- Cost component split costed with value of zero

-No price could be determined for material/batch 15010010002/ plant 2200

The above are error messages.

Material 15010010002 in plant 2200 doesn't have any Price, Check in Material master costing view, maintain it accordingly or in MR21

Hi,

Did you check KSPI values for the Activity type and Cost Center Combinations.

Please Check and run again

We are running the costing run for that material only(Material 15010010002 in plant 2200).

KSPI values are coming properly.

Hello friends,

Our issue has been solved now. For your information, the issue was relating to a technical issue in the generation of work centre formula after creation. Now it has been done and the issue is resolved. Once again my sincere thanks to all of you.

hi..

is it for plan price or act price.

if for act price, pl check activity type master data and see whether you have selected "Actual price indicator"-- 5 or not

kkumar

It is plan price. KSPI has calculated the price per cost centre/activity type.

Hi,

Similar problmes reported in our processes. Problem located at the belowing:

-Check if the Operation captured Activities under the Tab Quantities/Activities. It could be due to Standard Routing for operation does not contain the Activities under the section "Standard Values.

-Can also check assignements of Workcenter/Activity Types, Costing relevancy of the operation.
