Single sign On with Cookies

Hello Community,

since the following Patch Microsoft Internetexplorer isn't supporting Login for Basic authentification via URL: http(s)://Benutzername:Kennwort@server/Ressource.ext

No i think about a method to do it with cookies (when you have a better idea, please tell me).

To read the mapped datasources and userinformations are no problem. But how works a Cookie-Authetification? Has anybody a small Java-Code Snipplet for me that i can see how authentification with cookies works? In the moment i dont know how to start.
