How to use stored variants?

Hello,

I'm currently developing a MVC-based application that hast to act like an alredy existing report.

Everything works now except one "little" thing: The "normal" report offers the ability to store and reload variants. Does anyone know how to use these variants within my MVC-application and how to create new variants in the MVC-application and store it in a way so that the "normal" report can make use of them?

Look at function group "SVAR". There are functions available to create, delete, change variants.

If only I was able to find some documentation concerning all the attributes of all those tables needed...

I looked at table VARID where some iformation is stored and made the variants I created through the Web look the very same (fields TRANSPORT, ENVIRONMENT, XFLAG1) but I'm curious to know what the values i'm using mean...

But I can use variants in both r/3-report and web now!
