Event handling within BSP element

Hi All,

I have written a custom implementation of the standard phtmlb roadmap - with the added functionality of being able to click on the specific block in the roadmap and this then taking you to the applicable view. The way that I did this was to place a parameter in the url and then read it in the request method of the controller. This is far from ideal though. Could someone please shed some light or point me to some documentation which details the event handling within bsp elements a bit better. - help.sap.com has very limited information it seems.
