SAP BW BEx Analzyer Query in ABAP

Hi, I'm a beginner starting out developing in a BW 2.1C. I have good ABAP skills but limited experience in developing within BW.

I have a requirement to execute a BEx Analzyer Query in an ABAP program. I need to write the query results data to a flat file for transmission to a Cognos system. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Inde

    Hi Inde,

Just one track to explore : use the Open Hub technology provide in BW to send a query in a file for instance.

    Hope this will help you.

    Best regards, Michel.

How about trying to use RSCRM_BAPI or RSCRM_REPORT tranasaction in BW to setup a flat file export.. or you can try to find the BAPI which can be called directly from COGNOS directly..

Try the function module RSDRI_INFOPROV_READ. I found it is very flexiable and powerful as compared to RSCRM_BAPI.

    Good luck!
