Deployment problem 6.40

sorry to re-post this, but the problem still persists. I cannot deploy my WebDynpro application, whether using SDM or from within Eclipse. I get the same message:

"Deployment aborted. Unable to log on to [hostname] with user Administrator. Security credentials insufficient/wrong..."

The error is basically the same as reported by S. Radhakrishnan on October 28, 2003 (Error in deploying first Webdynpro at SDM). The only difference is that for me, deployment doesn't work neither via Eclipse nor via the SDM.

I've installed the SLD, and it seems to work. However, deployment aborts consistently.

    the cause of this problem may be one of a few options:

    - SDM tries to connect to J2EE Engine with the wrong username-password combination.

    This problem may be caused by modifying the administrator user account used by SDM, e.g. renaming of the user or changing its password without updating the secure store via Config Tool;

    - the Administrator account is locked due to several failed authentication attempts.

    If so unlock the user account.

    - SDM tries to connect to J2EE Engine using wron hostname-port combination.

    Make sure it uses the correct ones;

    - Dispatcher node of J2EE Engine that SDM is configured to conenct to is not running.

    Make sure dispatcher has started successfully;

    - RMI/P4 protocol problem. Check that P4 Provider service is running on the Dispatcher node and that the stack trace of the exception logged by SDM does not denote a P4 related exception;

    - Cluster communication. In previous SP-s there was a problem with enque server that could break the connection between dispatcher and server nodes. This may cause inability to connect to server.

    Please, verify first that you can connect to the cluster with the same username and password using Visual Admin Tool or telnet. If you are successful the most probable cause would be wrong configuration of SDM. If the connection fails Visual Admin Tool (or telnet) will provide you with additional information about the problem.

    If this does not help you clarify this see the logs of the server for connect related information/problems.
