HyperLink in Email Task for Workflow

Hi experts,

I need to place a Hyperlink in an email task in my work flow(e.g. <A HREF="URL">Name</A>). When I do this it looks and acts correctly in SOST but when it is sent to outlook it is not a Hyperlink but the actual text.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

    • I haven't touched workflow development in 5 years, but I don't believe you can do that with the old 'send mail' step directly if I remember correctly. The problem is that the workflow system creates the SOOD entry with a 'blank' file extension instead of 'HTM', which causes SAPConnect to set the content type as 'text/plain' vice 'text/html'. This causes the email client to render the text literally. Unfortunately, I can't remember how we adjusted for it, whether we hacked around it or used an exit class or just accepted it the way it was. You might want to backtrack through the message creation/SOOD insert and see if there's a point where you can attack it if you don't get any better responses.
