Any Connection between EP and WenDynrpo

I have noticed that the UI and look of WebDynpro and Enterprise Portal are the same. Is there any connection between the two? Also to diaplay anything in a browser it should be in html format. Well once we create a WebDynpro application what is communicated to WebAS?

With Regards

    Hello Ilarum,

Because of Unified Rendering the look and feel of Web Dynpro applications and iViews within the EP are the same. Of course you are able to deliver Web Dynpro applications for the EP 6.0. The will be shown as iViews as well. If you use Portal Theme you are able to change the colors and logos of the iViews, including Web Dynpro based applications just by clicking and saving.

Please take a look at the following documenation:

    1) How to build a Web Dynpro Application to build a web dynpro application.pdf

    2) How to program Portal Eventing to program portal eventing

    3) How to integrate a Web Dynpro Application into SAP EP 6.0 to integrate a web dynpro application into sap ep 6.0

The Web AS renders html and sends it to the browser.

Please check it out. Download Web AS 6.40 Java (Sneak Preview II).

    Hope that helps!

    Best regards, Karin
