Transports through Solution Manager

hi,

For my HR landscape, every 15 days there are 3rd party transports for legal/ taxes are imported. This is done through client-000.

Currently it is being imported manually. We are trying to automate this process.Since the transport route is client 000, we do not wanted to create transport route in STMS.

Wondering, if this is possible through Solution Manager. If so, which work center to be used. and any more details would be appreciated. set of 6 transports goes in every 15 days across Dev/Test/Prod systems.

The additional functionality available on SAP Solution Manager for performing transports is either Quality Gate Management or Charm but used to manage changes.

However those are not automatic import schedulers. I would advise you to create a project code and enable it for CTS use (SPRO_ADMIN transaction to create a project, give it a title, save it, go to tab transports and activate for CTS). Then you use a filter in transaction STMS on your import queue and schedule a TMS import job that will only import transport requests belonging to that project code.

Next step is making sure those transports are always placed in that project code (when creating a transport request you can choose the project code) and also making sure no one else places other transport requests in the project code (user awareness of the functionality).
