cRooms Size

Hi Experts,

cRoom usage is more. The users uploads and maitains document only via cRoom in our case.

Could some one give clarification for the following questions.

1. Where the cRoom actually stores the documents? Even if we choose cmStore, where the actual documents is stored then?

Is it depends on the CM repository manager persistence mode? DB or DBFS?

2. Can we have difference repository managers pointing to different persistence mode. Ex: one for KM documents handling in separate way and another type of storage for cRooms usage.

Please kindly help me in understanding.-

thanks,

Senthil

    Hi,

On point 1 yes you are correct. The persistance mode determines the storage location of the documents. For DB the docs are stored in the KM database, for DBFS the docs are stored on the filesystem and only the document metadata is stored in the database.

On point 2 again yes, different repository managers can use different modes, so you could have a different repository configured for Collaboration Rooms document storage.

    Hope this helps,

    Simon
