performance management and part-appraiser process

I have a requirement for employees to self-appraise themselves, however the employee's self appraisal is just informational, will not affect the final rating. Only the manager has the final say.

how can I do that?

my understanding is that, when using part-appraisers, the final rating is the average between the rating of the employee and the rating of the manager. how can I disregard the employee's rating from the final rating?

Thanks

there is no automatic averaging being done. Although you can set it up to do so you need to implement some badi's. So as to your question, just have the emp do his part appraisal, the manager still has the final saying. The employee input is being ignored.

Hi,

Actually employee rating forms a basis to give the managers' rating.

once the manager rates any employee again they can have discretion and later on can arrive on final ratings.

I think employee ratings just gives managers to evaluate them by justifying the rating given.

hi Rafi, are you saying that the employee's rating has no bearing to the final rating? sap designed the process so that the employee's rating is just informational?
