Netweaver 7.3 upgrade options

I have a question regarding NW 7.3 with respect to our current baseline. If we are productive with NW7.0 Ehp2 EP and NW CE 7.1 what is the optimal upgrade options.

1) Should I upgrade NW portal or standup a separate instance and migrate changes over?

2) What happens to CE 7.1 since NW 7.3 reduces CE presence as a separate installable component?

I have read over 7.3 documentation but do not see any recommendation regarding hwo we can get to NW 7.3 in a production environment.

Hi,

1. You can first take a complete backup of the host. Upgrade the NW 702 EP system to 730 when EP 730 is available in Service Market place. The DVDs should be available shortly.

2. AFAIK, upgrade prototypes for PI, BW and EP 730 will be released to the market. CE 730 UPG is not supported yet.

You might not have found information because NW 7.3 is still in Rampup:
