Installation Problem for Sneak Preview WAS 6.40

When I first installed WAS 6.40 ,some errors occurs. And when installation completed, the SAP management console don't work, I can run instance. But components of Netweaver Developer Studio is fine, and it can work, so I decided to uninstall WAS 6.40 except Netweaver developer studio, uninstall is ok. But when I second install WAS 6.40 , system automatically run installtion and complete very fast. The SAP management concole still doesn't work. I am wondering why, can anyone tell me why?

I guess it still thinks that you stuff is installed as "very fast" installation is next to impossible.

So you have to find out, what is there on your system.

Please do an deinstallation again and watch for a protocol about your installation.

I don't fully understand what you refered, How can find protocol and what can i do to pervent system run installation automatically without any prompt to me?

It does not run the installation actually, it thinks it is already there.

There should be a directory there called sapinst, that keeps thre installation log. I unfortunately don't remember the complete path. Please do a search on files with extension .log
