The holiday calendar has already been created from year 2000 to 2020. My client want to move the Jan 1st to Jan 3rd since Jan 1st falls on a Saturday in 2011.The Jan 3rd date is not a new holiday.
How do I move a fixed-date holiday for a particular year?
Hi,
Go to change mode in Public Holiday Definition, in guaranteed block select saturday/sunday radio button and right side select option move to next day after weekend (sat/sun).
Now generate the calender and check calender if the holiday is moved or not.

When try to change, fields are in grey. I m not able to change the public holiday to floating as it is assigned to calender. If I delete the assignment then change and assign again, it is moved only fo 2011 and for other years there is no holiday for new year.
Please suggest.

Through t-code spro ... Time Management > Work Schedules > Define Holiday Classes
Since we have many Holiday Calendars, we have also created many Public Holidays for the same day.
C_0101a January first that moves to day before if Saturday and moves to day after if Sunday
C_0101b January first that always move to day before if Saturday or Sunday
C_0101c January first that always move to day after if Saturday or Sunday
Some (like December 24) have more than 3 since it could be "Not Garanteed" if it falls on a week-end, and since it could be a full day holiday or a half day holiday.
This allows us to insert the holidays into the calendars, and delimit their use throughout time
(example: Calendar P1 uses Holiday C_0101a from 2001 to 2009 and Holiday C0101c from 2010 to 2098)
