Suppressing unassigned node

Dear Experts,

I am working on the early watch report. It is mentioned to improve the performance "Suppress unassigned node ".

Below is mentioned in the EWR:

You can deactivate the function that adds the "remaining node" to a hierarchy (in the hierarchy maintenance: go to the hierarchy attributes; select "Suppress 'unassigned' node"). When the remaining node is suppressed, it is no longer displayed in the query.

In the RSH1 I have selected the hiearchy node and done Supress unassigned node for a particular hieararchy but still in the BEX the unassigned node is displayed.

Please suugest then what is the use of selecting "Suppressing unassigned node".

Hi JKTECH

Once you have set this in the attributes of the hierarchy then in the query designer in the properties of the hierarchy have you tried changing the setting for Values of Posted Nodes - check off parameter 'use hierarchy settings' - see if this helps.
