Hi all,
according to SAP, any addon registration must call functions in a dll called "<b>sboaddonreg.dll</b>".
This has always worked so far.
But lately, for some reason this dll is missing after a new installation of the SBO client. UIAPI and DIAPI have been installed on client as well.
Does anyone know which of the above should / does install the "<b>sboaddonreg.dll</b>", so I can check what went wrong during the installation?
Thanks a million, Lutz Morrien
I should have checked the UIAPI help file.
Quote:
"<i>To run an add-on program in run time, you must register the add-on program with an SAP Business One application. The UI API provides a registration interface by calling functions in the SBOAddonReg.dll located in the installation folder of the UI API</i>"

Hi Lutz !
For 6.5 you have to install the "SDK AddOn Registration" package. It can be found in the SDK\Runtime_Version folder on your Business One CD. It will put sboaddonreg.dll by default in [SAPManage]\SAP Business One SDK\UI API\Tools.

Axel
Hi Lutz,
maybe is it better to put the "sboaddonreg.dll" in the installation package? I have created the InstallShield setup and it works correctly regardless of existence and location the "sboaddonreg.dll" on the target computer.
WBR, Anatoly.
There's an article/how-to on the new SAP Business One homepage about how to register your add-on.
If you have comments or additions to this article, please let me know and I can update it!
