Crystal Reports against ECC Infosets - End user versus Power user Security

Hi,

We are planning to publish a few Crystal reports via BOE Infoview. For end users to access the Crsytal report via Infoview, they need to be given RFC access to ECC along with access to the Infosets / User Groups on ECC per document "SAP BusinessObjects EnterpriseI ntegration for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide"

However, we do not want the End users running ad hoc reports against the ECC Infosets using Crystal Designer. Since we cannot control end users installing Crystal designer on their machines, and since they'd have RFC access to ECC and access to the Infosets (since we want them accessing the Crystal report via the Infoview), they would also be able to run ad hoc reports against ECC Infosets using Crystal.

Is there a way to prevent the end users from using Crsytal Designer to access ECC Infosets and restrict them to solely run the Crystal Report from the Infoview.

We'd like give a few power users the ability to use Crystal Designer against ECC Infosets and not to all end users.

Thanks,

Raj
