Unicode conversion from 4.6C.

Hi All,

We are in the process of unicode conversion of existing 4.6C MDMP system. We need to find out following few things

1) Which languages are active in the system ?

2) We have run report RSCPINST which gives installed languages but how to find, out of these installed languages which are active?

3) After executing report RSCPINST there is a RED message "TCPDB contains more than one code page". When i checked table TCPDB it has following entries.

"

CPTRANSFLD CPPOOLCLUS

1100 1100

1401 1401

1500 1500

8000 8000

8500 8500

"

Is it normal OR How the entries should be in the TCPDB table for MDMP system ?

Please reply

Regards

Hi Nikhil,

1) Logon is possible if the language is added to profile parameter zcsa/installed_languages and the required code page is added to table TCPDB. In later releases, the language needs to be added via RSCPINST (which results in an entry in table TCP0I).

2) There is no such definition as "active language" in SAP systems.

3) In any MDMP system, you have multiple entries in table TCPDB - this is normal. The purpose of the warning in RSCPINST mainly wants to make you aware that MDMP is not supported anymore in ECC 6.0.
