Hi,
I have a resource for which the PLANNED DOWNTIME has been maintained as 12 hrs a day for next few months
On top of it, the FACTORY SHUT DOWN (this has been picked from the fact cal) has been maintained in the CAPACITY PROFILE in APO
Logically speaking I should now see AVILABLE CAPACITY as 12 hrs in the capacity profile in the Resource
But I see sometimes as 12 hrs and some times as 3 hrs in the capacity profile in the Resource
and in the planning book I am seing the available capacity as '0'
Kindly share your interpratation , how do I look into this issue to fix
Thanks,
SS

Hi,
First check if the same resource in APO is maintained as external capacity or not.If the same is activated then check the resource capacity in ECC.Check the intervals and shifts.
If the same is not true then check the capacity profiles and the avalable capacity versions maintained in resource master in APO.
Since from factory calender resource blocking is only possible for at least a day so any availble hours is basically for resource blocking.
Check the shift sequence. If your shift sequence is cross period the 3 hours can be coming from previous period.
Hope the points can help you.

kaushik

Hi ,
Kindly explain to me in what way the EXTERNAL CAP will work in this case???
What is the role of cap versions (I believe multiple versions can be maintained.....)--kindly explain this
You are saying that there are cross periods, then we will have 3hrs coming from previous periods........I could not understand
Kindly explain the above to help me understand your response
Thanks,
SS
Hi,
Can you directly define the down time in the Resource in the Tab Down time and see it matches with your requirement.
Thanks,
