Budget Issue

Dear All,

I have created a project which spans for two years (from 2010 to 2011) and budgets are been allocated for both the years. 1st Phase (1st WBS Element) of the Project will be completed during 2010. Goods for 2nd phase (2nd WBS Element) were planned for 2011 and it has been triggered for procurement through MRP and PO is been sent to Vendor (commitments appear in 2011). However due to urgency goods has been received in this month ( Dec 2010), and a GRN is raised. Due to this reason the commitment value for 2011 is been shown as Actual in 2010, though we have not allocate a 2010-budget for 2nd WBS Element (shows a negative available balance). Budget Availability for Project is active.

Want to know the valid reason for this and a way to stop the sameu2026..

    Budget check will not happen during GR, this is std SAP, that is why the budget check didnt happen when you receive goods for 2011 PO in 2010, because budget check happened when you create the PO.

    If you want budgetary control for receipt of goods for 2011 PO in 2010 then apply this note 696362
