Hi,
I'm an absolute beginner in SAP-BO. We want to enroll our - in SAP-BI/BW stored - information
out to the consumer over universes. The universes should be for xcelsius and WebIntelligence.
So...my question: What is the best way to learn to build universes!
Has anybody a special book wich I should read, or is there anywhere a good tutorial-website....?
Thanks for your information!
Best wishes
Creating universes on BEx queries is relatively straightforward. Check out this document:

N.B. You will notice that data refresh times in Webi and Xcelsius will be significantly slower than BEx. So, I recommend that you only use these two tools for aggregated, high-level strategic reporting.

Hi Khaled McGonnell,
thanks for your fast and good post!
One question I have to your NB: "N.B. You will notice that data refresh times in Webi and Xcelsius will be significantly slower than BEx. So, I recommend that you only use these two tools for aggregated, high-level strategic reporting. "
--> Do you think I can compensate the slower performance with offline-generating?
That means, we want to process the data in offline-files in the night and distribute it to the portal.
If someone change the drill down, he/she has to count with slower performance with this non-standard drill down.
What are you thinking about this?
Thanks and best wishes from Germany
Sebastian
