Return Sales Order

Hi SAP Gurus,

Require your help!

We have a client where blueprint is almost completed and now signoff is going on.

The client is in u201C Very High Cost but with Low Volumesu201D fashion business. Hence every piece has impact on planning. They have major u201CSales Returnsu201D when a customer returns goods after one or two years if not sold or out of fashion. ( not on quality ground). In such case they would like to create u201CReturn Sales Orderu201D ( even some time returns quotation though sounds funny) .

The Return Sales Order in effect should be shown in MRP including MD04 screen.

They do not wish to do this as consignment because sale is already effected.

As we understand, standard SAP settings do not show return sales orders in to MRP as u201Cto be receiptu201D elements. But client has this typical requirement. ( In their current legacy system they have similar)

Can you please guide as to how to achieve this? Have you ever encountered similar case?

Best regards,

Mahesh

Hi Mahesh ,

Please read note 606282.

It´s related with FAQ: Returns processing, requirements and ATP.

Answering your requirement:

No. The ATP processes requirements (that is, entries in tables VBBE and

VBBS) always as planned issues. There is no option to process these

requirements as planned receipts. Consequently, returns can never be

regarded as planned receipts in the ATP check.

Exception: Returns for a stock transfer order (store returns) are a

receipt that also provides ATP quantities. If you deliver the order

returns, the system must generate a delivery of sales document category

'T' according to section 1. However, this delivery is not displayed /

cannot be used as a receipt.

I hope it can help you.
