I would like to know if someone has some info on sapconsole or websapconsole in a scenario wireless with radio frequency (RF). Are there some issues about security? Thanks
Lorenzo
We are planning to use WebSAPConsole with Windows CE based graphical RF-devices.
What happens if the device loses the contact to the WLAN, i.e. the user moves out of the RF coverage?
Does WebSAPConsole somehowe provides a cache for the session or is the session terminated? Does the user has to loggon again?

Hi Lorenzo,
For SAPConsole security you should use a secure telnet server. It is the telnet server that is responsible for the communication to the RF device. This server is not supplied by SAP.
Regarding webSAPConsole, it is in Pilot stages, and not yet supports secure connections.
It most probably will in the full release.
Best regards,
Adi

Hi Stefan,
if you've got access to SAP service marketplace (service.sap.com) perhaps the article "The Future of SAP Console" is interesting for you.
You can find this here:
(1) http://service.sap.com/SCM
(2) choose mySAP SCM Solution Map for "Warehouse
Management"
(3) Downloadable Article: "The Future of SAPConsole"

Hello:
In your previous messages Patricia Gardner said that there is a customer in Mexico using Websapconsole,
Could you say me who is that customer? I am interesing in the implementation of this functionality.
Currently I am testing the normal sapconsole.
Also, I was trying to get the document "The future of Sapconsole" in the route indicated by Oliver Lamp but I can not found it. Someone have this document or can tell me where to get it?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello,
We are trying to work in a client with WebSapConsole and Radio Hand Held devices Intermec PK750 PPC2003.
We have some problems and I have read in Sap web that you have allready experience in this.
The main problem that I have, is with Postamble "Enter" after barcode, Websapconsole doesn´t receive this and for example in google web is received correctly.
Thanks a lot!!
