Asyn call to SAP from XI

Hi!

A basic fundamental question - is it possible to make an async call to SAP via RFC(not ALE) using any connector or am I getting the fundamentals wrong here.

I do not want a process to wait for the call to finish in SAP. It's fire and forget.

Hi,

If you are calling SAP through XI . If the quality of Service is EO ( Exactly Once) it will be Asynchronous & synchronous if its BE ( Best effort).

Yes, You can send a Async Message to SAP from XI using a RFC via the RFC adapter. You must define a Asynchronous Buisness Scenario in XI and design the Business Sceanrio.
