WAS 6.40 Sneak Preview Installation Problem

I'd like to install the WAS 6.40 Sneak Preview on a Windows 2000 SP3 Server with JDK 1.4.2_03. The installation aborts with the following error:

ERROR 2004-03-09 14:12:48

CJS-00081 Assertion failed: in function InstallationScript_63() {

var installer = new Installer();

var kdb = new KeyDB();

var context = new Context();

var gui = new Gui();

WARNING 2004-03-09 14:12:48

The step check_base_software with step key J2EE_Workplace|ind|ind|ind|WebAS|630|0|

check_base_software was executed with status ERROR.

I previously had installed WAS 6.30 Sneak Preview on the same machine but I've uninstalled this version before I started the WAS 6.40 installation.

Regards, Tanja

      Hi Trond!

      Thank you very much for your help. The problem was that I had only stopped the C11 services but not the XServer. When I stopped the XServer service as well I was able to install the maxDB 7.5 SAP runtime with sdbinst. Afterwards it was possible to install the WAS 6.40 Sneak Previev without any problem! 😊

      Regards, Tanja
