How to maintain list of Material in DIP profile,Will reflect in Quotation

Dear All,

This is related to Quotation creation through DP81.I have maintain A DIP profile and as per my Easy Cost Planning (ECP) in Project System it is capturing in sales price in DP81.Please note that I have maintain three (3) line item in the sales Inquiry.Based on that 3 line item we have maintain three different WBS element in ECP and it is attached to corresponding material no in VA12.

Now in DP81 system showing the three line item but if we go for Quotation creation one material no is coming for the three line item with different price value.

I have also maintain these three material in DIP profile in ODP1.Please note that the first material no maintained in DIP profile that is coming not the other material no.

Please through some light as in our case there are several line item is maintained in quotation.So is it possible to make Quotation with different item and where I have to maintain these material no.

Please reply if any more information is required regarding this issue.

The material numbers which need to be in the Quotation as line items, are to be maintained in the "Material Determination" tab as main materials.

I think your characteristics are same for every material so that the system is picking up the first one.

:-

1. why do you need to create three WBSE ? is it a requirement?

2. How did you design your selection criteria for Material Determination & Sources ?

As per your observation the material numbers which need to be in the Quotation as line items, are maintained in the "Material Determination" tab as main materials.

I think you are wright but can you tell me how to differenciate the characteristic for the materials.

Here briefly I am giving you the senario, User will create an Inquiry with three or four line item.ECP is calculated for four WBSE now the corresponding WBSE is attached to the line item in the Inquiry.

Now user will create a Quotation in DP81now I want in the Quotation item will be copied from the Inquiry and Cost will be calculated from ECP.

Now plz note cost is coming as per WBSE but item in the Quotation are same Material no which is maintain as the first material in the DIP profile "Material Determination" tab.

If you did the same senario please give me some idea to resolve the issue.

HI

1. Line item from Inquiry will not flow into the Quotation in RRB Scenario. This is must.

In order to achieve this, you need to

-- select the "Material" as characteristic

-- your ECP on WBSE should contain this material cost

-- "Material Direct" check box should be activated in the material determination tab.

The above needs to be checked for compatibility to your existing requirement.

This is the reason why I asked the questions "why do you need three / four WBSE" & what are the characteristics you need to select"

HI Suman,

Every time you need not add the desired material in ODP1.

-- Select Material as Characteristic & relevant for mat determination.

-- Maintain a set for the materials in selection criteria. for example set "XXX"

-- Maintain only one material in "Material Determination" tab. Activate "Material direct" check box.

now, whenever you create a new material which needs to be in the quotation as line item, you enter this material in the set "XXX" (tcode GS02)

this ensures that the material you want will be there in the quotation as line item.
