SBO / UI: Actual Printer

Hello everybody,

you can adjust business one to print e.g. an invoice when adding it. My question: SBO starts printing without any printer-dialog. SBO uses the last (SBO-)used printer. Where can i find the last (SBO-)used printer, where does SBO get the information from? (I want to force SBO to use a special printer). Thanks, Chris

As far as I know Business One uses the Windows standard printer as default, so what you could try is to set a different Windows standard printer (you can probably do this with some scripting)

Hello Axel,

i'm afraid, but that's not correct. If you checked the button "print on add", SBO prints the document without printer window on the last used printer (within SBO). Where does this information hide in the SBO system?

Hey Chris,

that's bad news. I'm sorry, I do not know another way.

Maybe so else does ?

Hi Chris,

there's no access to the print process in SAP Business One. Sorry, but you have to do the printing by yourself.

If saving the document as an image would help, you could hit the print preview and the subsequent menu items programmatically, type in the name of the image programmatically (SendKeys of application object) etc.

Hi Frank,

i know that i can't access the print process. But there must be a way to change the actual used printer. That's the only thing i want to do.

Yours, Chris
