CIM model download & use?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me the use of CIM model?

When I goto SLD administration I get message that model is incompatible to server, Model version 1.2.3, required version 1.2.5. What does this mean? From where can I download CIM model?

Hi Bhush,

CIM provides a common definition of management information for systems, networks, applications and services. CIM is comprised of a Specification and a Schema.The Schema provides the actual model descriptions, while the Specification defines the details for integration with other management models.

Regarding your error for the version, U might be running an older CIM version in the SLD. U can upgrade the CIM model following the Post Installation steps chapter in the XI Installation guide. The model file is included with the patch file you downloaded for XI upgrade.
