With the announcement that SAP will not support DCOM connector after this year and the DOTNET connector still a little too new... (for most customers)
What are the interface options available to use Visual Basic to simply call a BAPI or RFC these days?
Business connector seems to be too much technology for this, Java connector is, well - Java...
This used to be a very simple and straightforward call.
.NET connector has been around for a good while now. It's true that it's still a 1.x release, but maybe that just goes to show the stability?
If you are not happy with either of these approaches then you are left to use LIBRFC32.DLL directly for RFC.
There is also the option of SOAP integration if you are using the appropriate WAS release (can't recall what that is, think it might be 6.40 which doesn't help much at the moment).
