Hello at all,
in the Installation Guide of SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.1 are the following types of installationen described:
1. Standard System
2. Distributed System
3. High-Availability System
4. Additional Application Server Instance
5. Standalone Host Agent
Who can explain me, why so many types of installationen are exist.
Thanks in advance
Volker Knauf
hi Volker,
It depends upon the landscape on which you r going to install it.standard system is like ur SAP systems, standalone system is like j2ee based system.
Actually PI works under a landscape(interconnection of systems which exchange data) which is maintained in SLD.According to your landscape environment u can choose different systems.
You can search for these different systems seperately which u have mentioned to find ur answer.
thanks.

Hi Volker,
The simple answer is that it depends on your resources available to maintain the system and also your demands.
Some people prefer to add more server nodes or application server, for example, for High volume and similar.
But as mentioned, you must have good resouces to process that all.
