N+1 landscape issue

Hi,

Please find below the facts:

1) Existing ECC 6.0 Dev system copied to new system. we have clients - 000, 100,150

2) Upgrded to EHP4 and applied IS-Utilities Add on

Now, after the EHP4 upgrade, If i goto SPRO, I see the new customizing data or entries related to configure the system only in client 000. NOT in 100 and 150. Is it normal??? If it is, there should be some way to move the entries from one client to other, right? There may be several people who had worked on an N+1 landscape. Can someone tell me how to get these customizing or data entries to client 100 - which is our development client?

1) Can I do a client copy without overwriting the existing customizing in client 100? Can the client copy append to the existing customizing?

2) Any other ways to do it?

Hello,

This is normal because there are lot of customization that generally customer changes according to their requirement in live clients. If SAP gives all this customizing in your Live client then it might overwrite existing customizations that customer has done. Please refer to SAP note 337623 for more information about your scenario.

Thanks

my only suggestion is, you can go back to each of your functional team members or owners of specific changes that you want to take it next client bye doing below:

- ensure you maintain SCC4 as automatically track changes.

- ensure you carry out SCC1 (transport of copies) for all those customizing changes within system across clients.

thanks,

Hi,

use copy client (SCCL) with profile SAP_CUST with source client = 000 and target = 100

your question :

1. append ? i think it is not possible.

2. i have no idea other than SCCL, and it will overwrite your current customizing on target.

hope it help you.

Please .. any other suggestions? Haven't anyone come across a situation like this? When you upgrade, SAP only upgrades client 000.. which is ridiculous if you are working on an N+1 landscape!

You may not like my update but I strongly suggest you must open an OSS message and get SAP expertise help.

Sunil, I appreciate your help.. I did, but SAP was of no help. SAP said they will upgrade only client 000 - they dont have a solution!
