Dummy Product in SAP CRM System

Hi,

Is there any possibility to have a dummy product in SAP CRM system which will be used in the service transaction?

Scenario:

No material master is downloaded from the back-end ECC system to CRM system.

But, for a service transaction according to business process they are using dummy product.

I checked that the dummy product concept in the IS-U / CRM integration.

Request your experience on this topic please.

Thanks for your response.

I checked that link and I mentioned about that one only by stating IS-U.

Is there any possibility that a CRM business transaction can be saved with out entring a product?

Not with transactions like Activities etc. In service?

I don't know for service, because I'm specialized in sales module, but I guess it must be similar. In sales you can saves business transactions (opportunities, quotations, orders) without entering products. Only limitation is that you can not replicate this documents to R3, if they don't have products (just header).
