Implementation of ECM for PM

Hi Guys,

One of our client wants to implement ECM for PM to track the changes for Equipment master and BOM changes.

Can some help me out the advantages and disadvantages to implement the ECM?

And also what are the steps need to be taken to implement and also configuration to be done.

Dear You need to activate Engineering Change Managemnet because BOM changes can be traced out or can be created through EC number in CS01/CS02.To do this please follow the steps which was mentioned by our experts in this thread:

Hello,

The advantages being,

You can get the change history of the equipment, change approval process through workflows etc.

Only disadvantage is more effort in training and using it.

You can start with a simple change master an dassign corresponding chnage objects to it.

Then carry out the changes and close the change master........
