Hi,
In my GL master data, the GL account for Rounding off is created with a default cost center in the Edit Cost Element Tab in FS00. I have also assigned the cost centers in OKB9 for the Rounding off GL account. Then I removed the default cost center from Edit cost element.
While doing MIRO it is asking for the cost object for Rounding Off GL account and it is not allowing me to put manually in the entry screen. But for other GL accounts it is picking the cost object from OKB9.
Can someone help me to solve this problem?

Hi,
Kindly Check the Validity of the Cost center and Cost Element. This is can also be one of the reasons.
Thanks & Regards

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have maintained Valuation area wise cost center in OKB9 and I have also defined default cost center in cost element. While posting the entry the cost center is picking which is assigned as default and not picking from OKB9.
What is happening is the GR/IR a/c is in other valuation area and the cost center for Rounding Off GL is picking fof other valuation area. In FBL1N the profit center for the vendor is picking from he cost center posted to the Rounding off GL. It should get picked from the valuation area of the GR/IR account.
Please solve this issue.

Hi,
In OKB9 I have assigned cost centers to the respective Plant and I have assigned them to Account Assignment Detail '1' i.e., Valuation area is mandatory. After doing this setting I have executed my MIRO again and then while posting an error message is coming "Cost Object not Assigned to Rounding Off GL".
After this I have assigned default cost center to the cost element Rounding Off, after doing this setting the error message is removed but after getting posted the Rounding Off GL is showing the cost center which I gave as default cost center in cost element.
This case is not happening for all the MM documents. In some cases it is posting the cost center from OKB9 and in some cases it is posting the cost center from cost element.
Even I have changed the Account Assignment Detail from '1' to '3' i.e., Profit center is mandatory but then the error message is coming again as " Cost object is not assigned to Rounding off GL".
In Field status group G004 I have changed the Material Management from Supress to Optional but then also the cost center is not picking from the respective Plant.
As we are using profit center accounting and not business area accounting the GL reports are not being generated properly.
Please help me to solve this issue. I hope that I could explain the situation.

Dear Vivek,
Thanks for the reply. As per your reply I have assigned cost center on the company code level and I have removed the cost centers from plant level, but by doing this my entries are getting posted to the cost center assigned on the company code level to all the cases where my plant is differing from my assigned cost center.
My requirement is that the cost center for my Rounding Off GL should pick from the valuation area (as assigned in OKB9)otherwise in my profit center accounting the reports are not matching. I could not understand why it is not picking from OKB9 but in other GL's for which OKB9 setting is maintained its working fine.
Please help me to solve this issue.
