Activity Based Budgeting in BPC 7.0NW

Hi friends,

Currently I am on the blueprint phase of bpc7.0nw implementation.

I was just wondering id someone can tell me that can we do activity based budgeting in BPC?

and if yes than please tell me how.

Hi,

This is a question asked in a very simple manner, but it is actually a very very complex subject. Perhaps if you can explain exactly what you mean by "activity based budgeting" and tell us how you have tried to implement it in BPC and the issues you are facing, then we can have a discussion about this.

Hi,

Yes you can use it for activity based cost manegement. Main thing for ABC is claculate cost or other things according to Activities.

To illustrate you can allocate any accounts to activities according to time or other criterias.

hi,

As BPC is a account based model. We can assign a budget to particular account (using the account dimension).

But we generally dont maintain activity master data in BPC (As this is my previous project experience).

Even if we maintain activities list in BPC, it will keep changing frequently.

How can we maintain activity master data in BPC?

any suggestion from experts...
