Hi,

LOG BY0=>ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

You need to change your schema users password using "brconnect"

Try as follow:

1. Login as ora<sid>

2. Use below command to reset SAPRP1 users password

# brconnect  -u system -f chpass -o SAPRP1 -p <new password>

If it still doesn't work... just set the password as "sap" (it is default password for schema user)

# brconnect  -u system -f chpass -o SAPRP1 -p sap

Hope, it helps you...

Suggestions:

Above thing will help even if OPS$ mechanism is not set correctly...

But it is recommended to create and set permissions for OPS$ user. Else some BRTools function will produce errors...

Relevant notes are already suggested by others...

Please go through it word by word...

Regards.

Start reading

Note 562863 - FAQ: Logon mechanisms

to understand how the system tries to connect to the database.

Then use

Note 400241 - Problems with ops$ or sapr3 connect to Oracle

to recreate your OPS$ user.

Since you did not post any information what you did to the system, whether it was running before or what was changed we can't give you any more specific hints.

Hi,

Along with the above suggestions, try to execute the below commands to see the status of DBA users account. Check weather they are locked or not.

connect / as sysdba

select username,account_status from dba_users;

If any OPS$, SAPSR3*, SYS, SYSTEM users are locked then open it using the below command.

ALTER USER <username> ACCOUNT UNLOCK;

Users are not locked.I tried that.

In SQlnet.ora file,SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES = (NTS) .Should this be changed to None?

Check weather they are locked or not

Well seens like they are not locked just yet as he'll be getting a ORA-28000 error, but if he doesn't fix the OPS$ users he'll be unlocking them soon.
