Radio Button SAP Design Studio

I am middle of making the Dashboard using SAP Design Studio.

The dashboard contains the Radio Button and I would like to change the initial view of the universe.

For your understand, the radio button has ITD, Rolling 3 month, Rolling 12 month and YTD for the selection.

Depend on what the user selects, the data will be changed to rolling 3 month or 12month or YTD or ITD.

We have different columns for each selection.

Currently all the bar charts and scorecards, crosstab are based on ITD (Default).

Do you think it is good way to change the initial view (if it is possible) depend on the radio button selection? Or should I hide the ITD columns (and 12 month, YTD) for each chart and crosstab, and unhide Rolling 3 month column if the user selects the Rolling 3 month?

Thank you

    Hi Yonsung,

    It sounds like you are using the Radio Button to allow users the flexibility to switch between measures across the charts, scorecards and crosstabs. This is a perfectly valid approach. I assume you are implementing the dynamic change of the initial view by applying a setFilter() to the Measures Dimension for the selected measure? This should work for the Crosstab and Chart components but you will probably face issues with the Scorecard component since the measures are "hard-coded" to the columns via binding, so the Scorecard may "break" when you filter out bound measures.

      Thank you Mustafa

      /*Rolling 3 Month */

      /*ITD */

      ... And So on.

      I decide to code on radio button for "on Select". This will change the data selection for all charts and tables

      And Do you think this will affect to the data loading performance later? I am not sure changing initial view will perform better or not if the dashboard face to massive data.

      And if you don't mind, can you give me some tips for hard coding the scorecard?

      FYI - I am using Comparison chart, Delta Bar and I would like to change Actual Value and Benchmark Value.

      All 7 columns using the Comparison charts.

      Thank you,

    ITD means Inception to Date?

    Maybe it should be a prompt before they enter the dashboard?

      Thank you for your interest.

      Yes ITD is Inception to Date, YTD is Year to Date.

      So you mean I should put the prompt on universe level by using IDT? (we are using only Universe, Not HANA)

      Does Design Studio have a feature I can set the prompt before user open the Dashboard? (Application)

      Sorry, this is first time I am using the SAP DS.

      Thank you for your help,
