Hi,
Can you tell me if MDM provides access to Business Information Providers like Dun & Bradstreet? If so, how is it done, where can I get further details, etc.
Thanks,
Jim
For more information, see also the Weblog on D&B dated Feb. 13, 2004.
Regards,
Markus

The Business Information Provider (BIP) integration with SAP MDM is also covered in the Help Portal. See:

Jim,
right now there are two options to access these providers from MDM.
1) Exchange via File Transfer. This is a manual solution with an offline interface. Files are used to exchange data between the master data server (MDS) and e.g. D&B. You crate an export file to request information from D&B and upload the import files into the MDS in SAP MDM. BP's are enriched by using this way.
2)BIP Data exchange via SAP XI (online). This is an automated data enrichment process using XI and BIP-products, ike "LookUp" or "QuickCheck". Data are transferred in XML format.
