Record Locking In ESS / Open Enrollment

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but here goes:

We are using EP 5.0 SP5 and are experiencing record locking issues when we use the IE browser back button while in change mode of an ESS iView such as Address Change or Open Enrollment. If you try to go back into Change mode after pressing the IE Back button, it gives the message that the user data is locked.

Any workaround or system settings that can alleviate this problem? Or is this just the way it is?

I haven't seen any other complaints about this except for mine, so I'm hoping that I'm just missing something.
