Hi,

Let me explain the scenario in detail.

A project is created and has not been budgeted yet. An expense entry was posted to this project in the meanwhile.

This is not the case of budget exceed. Is it possible to restrict the posting of the entry at the outset when a budget has not yet been created for the project.

Can this be acheived by activating the release functionality in availability control for the related budget profile or is there any other way of achieving this.

Please help.

Thanks..

Best Regards,

Sri

Hi,

You can do this through user status. create user status and resrtict business transaction i.e FI posting and others.

make this user status default with CRTD and when budgeted override this with next user status which allows all transactions.

Entering '0' as budget will not have any impact. You are marking that reply as helpful. I really dont know on what basis you are marking that as helpful answer.

Search the forum, there are threads available which discuss about this requirement.

You can restrict the posting of an expense to the project if there is no budget - standard budgeting functionality - see SAP help or search forum for posts or contact your PS consultant
