Deployment Error

Hi all,

I alredy created my first webdynpro application and I am getting the message below when I try to deploy and run the application.

20.01.2004 21:17:06 /userOut/deploy (com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager) ERROR:

EquipmentListProject.ear -> Deployment aborted

Reason:

Cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly !

I think it is a kind of new comer's mistake. Does anybody have ideas/documents about how this problem can be solved. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello Sükrü,

    Could it be, that you first started the IDE and then the J2EE engine? If so, please shutdown the IDE, make sure, that all instances of the J2EE engine are running (please take a look at the SAP management console, all server have to be "green") and then start the IDE again. It should work then. If not, please let me know.

    Best regards,

    Karin

    Hello Karin,

    First of all thank you for your help. I tried to make SAP Management Console run but it does not exist under the path defined in help files namely(Start->Programs->Sap Management Console) in my PC. Is there a way to download it?(a link for SAP Employees can also be because I am already). Thanks.

    Cheers,

    Sükrü

    Hello Sükrü,

    Have you set the value in Developer Studio -> Window -> Preferences -> SAP J2EE Engine -> Message Server Host , Message Server Port ?
