APO DP 3.1 decimal rounding

Former Member

Hi

My client is using APO DP 3.1 for forecasting. Sales forecast in planning bok has decimals for UOM 'EA'. We have changed display to to show no decimals. But when this figure is transfered to R/.3 we see decimals in MD63. I want to round off values in planning book so that they dont show decimals and only rounded figures get transfered to R/3.

PLease help me how this can be done. Is it only by macro? or is there a customisation settings possible?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Arvind

I have not worked on a similar issue before , but i have some pointers for you. As you have mentioned in your mail ,you have changed the display setting ( to suppress decimals) in the planning book and not the way the data is stored in the live cache. I guess i you go to /n/sapapo/rrp3 and check the sales forecast values then you will see values with decimal places.

One way to round the value in R/3 is to add custom logic to the trasfer profile that sends forecast from DP to R/3

Hi,

Please check out the below mentioned points to resolve the same.

1. Maintain the rounding value as 1 for all the materials in material master. This will change the total forecasted quantity but the same is generally aceptable.

2.Go to transaction CUNI and change the decimal points for the UOM to 0 and check out the results.

3.You can put check at the time of PIR being released to ECC system to APO which will do the rounding off.

Hope thi will help.

Hi

Sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks for your input. We resolved by creating a MACRO for the planning book and the dataview to round off the decimals. We run a batch job daily to run this nacro, before the batch job that that transferes forecast values to demand planning in R/3.

Thanks

Arvind.
