How to check if a Function Module is available in a specific Release

Hi Developers,

How do I check if a Function Moudle is available before actually calling it ? (If I simply call a Function Module, it might not give any errors as it would be available in my development system. But, for some reasons, the same function would not be available in the Customer system)

Is there some way (may be another Function Module) to check if a Function Module is avaialble in the system ?

Thanks,

Suma

    Hi Suma,

you will find all function modules in the table "TFDIR".

You can also call function module FUNCTION_EXISTS - much the same as reading table TFDIR, but some prefer not to access SAP tables directly if it can be avoided.

    Cheers,

Or to avoid "Short dumps": use the CATCH - ENDCATCH command...
