SAPnotes logon for miniSAP users

I have just tried to register onto to read the SAP / OSS notes. This failed, I presume because the installation number was DEMOSYSTEM, as it would be as this is a miniSAP system.

Is there a way that miniSAP users can get to read the notes? I know, to raise messages would not be commercially viable.

No, sorry the service marketplace and OSS is only available for customers. The most important notes regarding Netweaver technologies will be published on SDN soon.

But in general, I would like to restrict this forum to ABAP programming issues. Handling issues about the MiniSAP system are not really ABAP questions. I would propose to use the Web AS forum instead.

I'm fully aware that the Mini SAP is important for those who want to play with ABAP but the people who monitore this forum (= ABAP language development) usually can't help with these issues.

    • Hi Thomas,

it is NOT the case that we do not WANT ABAP people to use certain forums. It may be the case that you don't get an answer there because I simply cannot answer it, due to the fact that I don't talk ABAP because I never learnt it.

I already had customers at demonstrations, where I admitted this fact who desbelievingly asked me "Your working for SAP and really don't talk ABAP?"

And, of course if you spread doubt on decisions made inside the company it is my job to answer it with the arguments that we have about this.

The SDN page was started by groups technically near the portal and associated technologies, which don't contain ABAP code, therefore they were no specialists on this. I think this changed since product management headed in.

So the status is: You're absolutely welcome everywhere in SDN.

      Best Regards,
