I am using the SAP Mini Basis System to practice ABAP programming. My problem is that is the Object Navigator, the Object List Selector is not displayed. Does anyone know how I can retrieve it, or is it a bug im my system?
Hi David,
this problem comes from a mismatch between a Microsoft Security Patch and the 6.10 SAP GUI.
It is described in SAP Note 532648.
To solve the problem for the Mini Basis, you must either install the latest version of the 6.20 SAP GUI or uninstall the MS Security Patch Q321232 by using the Control Panel.
Best regards

Shabir, Check this: http://service.sap.com/installations (Customer ID and Password required).
Salam,
Redha
Thanks for this. However, I am a Java developer learning about ABAP, but I do not have a Customer ID yet. I have a copy of the Basis system from the CDs which came with the book ABAP Objects by Horst. I tried the book Websites as mentioned in the book where one should find patches but there were none. So what can I do get the patch without having Customer ID and a password? Wassalam. Shabir shabir@ahmedweb.biz
The info from SAP for miniSAP says goto the Galilaio press.de site for info, etc. This is the site for SAP-press.de. Look for the 'ABAP objects, programming SAP applications' book (it will be the German version). From this page look for the downloads list at the bottom of the page. The one that you want is the one for the GUI. Beware: This is a 42Mb ZIP file.
