Hi all,
I'm new to the Solution Manager and i have to face with a problem we want to send an alert email if a check in remote system doesn't arrive in specified time range.
In RZ21 i've create an auto-reaction method based on the fm SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT_V2 and in
RZ20 i've assigned to the branch of the tree that i need.
To test the process i've lowered the "Set "Value Obsolete" and Inactive after" field to 60 seconds, but if the alerts works fine in RZ20 no mail is sent as i can see from SOST transaction.
But if i go to Views-->Status Autoreaction in RZ20 and doubleclick on the node the mail is sent correctly to the email address in the method.
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance
Daniele
Hi
1. Does your scot functionality work fine? able to send mails?
2. Did you create auto reaction method under RZ21 --> technical infrastructure > assign central auto-reactions> create central auto-reactions and
3.Did you maintain usersid in the sender property?
Finaly please vistit this for method SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT_V2,

Hello,
Since you say you are new to Solution Manager, does this also mean the Solution Manager system is being setup and certain basic steps may have been over looked?
Have you performed the IMG activity in SPRO to setup SAPCONNECT?
E-mails sent from an SAP application are first sent to a queue. The queued e-mails are subsequently sent by a periodic background job. This activity needs to be performed if it has not been done yet.
Transaction Code SPRO > SAP Solution Manager > Cross-Scenario Settings > Automatic Email
Set-Up SAPconnect.
If it has been setup have you checked the job status, say before during and after to assess if the alerts are making it to SCOT?
In SCOT > menu > Views > Jobs
What is the job status, did it complete, was there an error, is it stuck in transit, is it waiting? Did anything come when the auto-reaction triggered and sent the email?
Can you email from other applications such as SL or EWA reports? In otherwords do you have email functionality. This needs to be established first. You may have no issue with the way you configured the auto-reaction, perhaps you have not configured the email functionalty?
So the first step is to check that you have configured the email functionality properly. Prove it by sending email. Then test your auto-reaction. This way, if you have an incomplete email configuration, you focus on getting email working. Once you know it works, then either the auto-reaction will send the email, or you will discover there is an error in that setup.
This approach will help to isolate where the actual problem rests, and where you need to focus your troubleshooting efforts.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Paul
