    Hallo Thilo,

The <bsp:view> and <bsp:viewArea> tags where done quickly still in the summer of 2002, when we thought that .... hmmm, of well, just let us forget it. These tags are both effectively empty, and contain no real code. I would recommend to consider them as no-operations. They are not helping much for anything.

The <bsp:call> tag is used to call a controller somewhere inside a BSP page or view. This is the simplest and easiest way to structure BSP programs, and get some form of dynamics into the layout.

For some reason, I see that this tag is lacking online documentation. We will look into this. Also we will check for documentation and append it here.

For examples, look at BSP application ITMVC2. This uses <bsp:call> in main view to inbed other pieces of layout/logic via controller calls. (Views are never directly accessable, only via their controlling controllers.)
