Failed to Extract OBServer.dll from CAB File

Former Member

Hi,

I need help so bad regarding on "Failed to Extract OBServer.dll from CAB File" error message using .Net SDK. I've already tried to delete the SM_OBS_DLL folder in %temp% and also reinstalled with same version of DI API in the server yet both failed for the solution.

It's kinda weird, at first my program could post records to SAP then hours later I get this error.

How could I resolve this error?

Thanks,

Daryl

Since it has been over 2 weeks, probably you need to consider a fresh OS.

Hi,

Its kinda weird thing because my sdk is working for few times then this error occur but when we restart the server it will work again then error occur again. Is there any other solution to this just to avoid restarting the server?

Thanks,

Daryl

Hi All,

Unfortunately, my problem still exists even though I unblock the observer.dll in the anti-virus.

Thanks,

Daryl

Hi,

Check for below points...

1.space on c drive not enough

2. first try to replace correct file (SM_OBS_DLL where it is running perfectly) from %temp%

3. reinstall diapi.

Hi Daryl,

Sound like your have virus or some other malware. Do a complete scan to find them out.

Hi Gordon,

We have scanned it and it was clean. I'm using McAfee VShield anti virus.

Hi Ad,

Its in C drive and it has 10 GB of free space. What seems to be the problem?

Thanks,

Daryl

Hi Daryl,

Space should not be a problem.

Do you have correct sbo server and license server?

Hello Daryl

SAP B1 DI API from version 2007 is a part of the SAP B1 Client, so not needed to install it individually.

please goto %TEMP% and locate sm_obs_dll. Then delete the SM_OBS_DLL directory. When you start the addon, it will be created automatically.

If the error is still exists after clean up SM_OBS_DLL folder, please check your virus scan engine, and exclude the path of %TEMP%SM_OBS_DLL

Regards
