Hello Friends,

How to add fields to the navigation bar like navigation bar customization .

i need to add fiels like service orders.

can anyone pls help me out.

Hi Vijay,

You can add of delete workcnenters in the navigation bar using the tcode crmc_ui_nblinks.

Just fnd out the navigation bar profile linked to business role for which you want to change the navigation bar and then you can change the navigation bar using the above tcode.

Here you can also create new logical links and add assign this logical links to work centers. You can refer to CRM 580 document which has all the details how to maitain the navigation bar.

Framework u2192 Technical Role Definition u2192 Define Navigation Bar Profile

OR

Transaction code for direct access of navigation bar profile customizing: /NCRMC_UI_NBLINKS

1.Creat Logical Link

2.Create a new Direct Link Group Z##LINKGP.

3.Assign the new Logical Link to Link Group.

4.Create your own Work Center ZWS_## by copying the existing Work Center such as MKT-MKT.

5.Assign the new Link Group to Work Center.

6. Add the newly created Work Center ZWS_## to the Navigation Bar profile of your business role.

but there is not so different to configure the Navigation Bar between CRM2007 and CRM7.0.

The fields in the navigation bar are separated to 2 groups :

1. Work Centers (Service Orders, Home, Calendar.. )

2. Direct Link Groups (e.g. Create Link Group or Recent Items ..)

If you want to add fields as Work Centers you have to understand first that it's not just a link but it's a folder which contains Work Center Link Groups. And note that Work Center Link Groups contains the Direct Links you are seeing in the work area.

E.g:

for adding Service Orders to your Business Role : ZCENK_BR

1. Go to business role customizing, note the Navigation Bar Profile attached to ZCENK_BR, let's say ZCENK_NB

2. Go to Navigation Bar Profile Customizing, select your Navigation Bar Profile ZCENK_NB, go to the Assign Work Center branch of the tree structure on the left. There you add the related work centers.

3. Click New or press F5, add your work center, e.g. SRV-ORD which is Service Orders

4. That's all for navigation bar customizing, now we have to go to business role customiizing to Activate the links that Service Order Work Center contains. (This is because a navigation bar profile can be assigned to several Business Role, so a change has to be activated in each Business Role so that you don't change every business role for a little change.)

5. go to Business Role Customizing and select your Business Role

6. select on the left side hierarchy "Adjust Work Center Group Links" and check visible (in work area) or in menu(2nd level menu of the field) fields for every link you want to appear from the work center. Note that here, the first column should be the work center you have added like SRV-ORD in our case.

Hi vijay,

You can refer to CR 580 unit 3 and 4 business roles, navigation bar units to get an idea of customizing these entities..
